The award was in recognition of Galen's many years of dedicated ser- vice to the outreach clinic held four times a year in Medford by staff members of the Shrine Hospital in Portland. The outreach clinic is utilized by children from southern Oregon and northern Cali- fornia for follow-up appoint- ments. Galen also served as chairman of the annual East- West All-Star Shrine football game in Baker City in 1997 and 1998.
