TOM OMANN, Pine Tele- phone Systems, Inc., em- ployee, displays some of the items found along North Main Street while telephone lines were being relocated in preparation for street work this summer. At left, Tom rests an engine head atop a drive sleeve, both believed to have come from a Model A Ford. Pictured below is a collection of bottles, pots, pans and other paraphernalia found in the trench. The Blitz Weinhard beer bottle, just to the right of the pot near the left end of the line, was thought to have been early- to mid- seventies vintage. The bottle was unopened and still able to produce fizz when shaken. The crew also found parts of what appeared to be a home- made still. Underground lines have been moved to locations which should place most of them under the new sidewalks, at a depth Of six feet.
